This blog post is about how to make a collage/moodboard for your wall. I will go through all the steps from choosing your images to sticking it on your wall. This is an affordable alternative to buying a collage kit (for example by Tezza). I will have links to everthing I use so that you know where to buy them. I hope you like it!

Step1: The first thing I did was choose my photos. Pinterest is an amazing place to find images that inspire you. The theme that I went with for my collage was aesthetics. Below I have put an image of my board that I created for this project. I have put them in order by colour. If you like my images or want to get inspired, click here or the image and it will take you to my pinterest board with all the images I used for my collage.

Step 2: After you've chosen your images you need to print them out. It depends how big your wall is but mine is pretty big so I printed out a lot. If you want your poster as big as mine (204x161cm) you should print out around 150 images (Yes, I got into trouble for using two sets of ink AND finishing all my grandmothers ink).

I wanted my images to be all different sizes and borderless but you can print out your images whatever size you want. Also, I suggest not printing them out too big otherwise the images will become pixelated. (But when you press print your computer should automatically ajust the size of the image to its best quality).

Step 3: After you cut out all your images, place them on the floor and organise them how you like them. This is so that before you stick them down you know exactly where you want them.

I decided to do an aesthetic collage with colours fading into each other. I did purple to blue to orange. At first I was worried because they are strong colours and very different from each other so i thought it would be hard to make them fade into eachother but in the end it turned out looking great!

Pro tip: Since I didnt want to ruin my wall I stuck my images (with double sided tape) onto a huge piece of poster board that I then stuck onto my wall.

When I decided where I wanted the first colour (purple) to go I stuck it down to the poster board. Since I wanted to have the colours fading into each other I needed to have some images with purple and blue otherwise it wouldn't fade in well.

(sorry for the bad quality image)

After the blue I faded into the orange.

Step 4: Once I had stuck everything down it was time to stick it on my wall. I used these command strips which are damage free so that if I want to take it off it doesn't ruin my wall.

Step 5: The finished project!!!! If you were inspired by this and my Pinterest images/board please tag me if you post them on Instagram @_miaamari_
